In Darwin it’s all about the northern suburbs.
Peter Kafkas from Call2View Real Estate says Leanyer is a well-established leafy area, compared to other suburbs, and is drawing large crowds.
“Leanyer is so affordable compared to more rural areas such as Howard Springs. It offers large block sizes while being so close to the city. Families love this area as there’s just so much space for children to run around in. An affordable inner-city yard is not easy to find,” says Kafkas.
In addition to a large number of families living in these areas, Leanyer also attracts a high number of first homebuyers and investors looking for units and housing, as well as buyers looking to upgrade.
“This northern area attracts quite a mixed demographic as they can see the value this suburb offers. Everything is within a five minute drive – schools, shopping centres, parks, hospitals, as well as our fantastic beaches and fishing spots which locals love to frequent in Darwin’s warm climate. Leanyer also has a brilliant water park that is free to use and attracts many people from all over Darwin.”
